Miranda Lam

Vancouver Magazine - - Taste -

NEW As a junior partner at Mccarthy Tétrault in Vancouver, Miranda Lam is one of the city’s top business litigators, and now the chair of the largest community foundation in Canada, the Vancouver Foundation (which has more than $1 billion in assets). When she took over earlier this year, not only was she the ‘rst visible minority to hold the position in Vancouver Foundation history but also the ‘rst woman. In an interview with Lexpert, Lam explained that the foundation hunts down unpopular projects and problems that seem intractable and unsolvable, problems that underpin society as a whole, and tries to uncover new ways of ‘xing them. “The work really moves me,” said Lam.
