GRONKOWSKI HAS ANKLE SURGERY
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski had arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle Friday. The injury hampered Gronkowski in the Super Bowl, when he had just two catches for 26 yards in the 21- 17 loss to the New York Giants. His recovery schedule will last 10- 12 weeks. The surgery was first reported by the Sports Business Journal. Gronkowski suffered a high- ankle sprain in the AFC Championship Game against the Ravens at home, a 23- 20 victory. Gronkowski’s injury and playing status became the story during an otherwise slow Super Bowl week. He was listed as questionable 48 hours before the game.
