Len Norris
For 38 years, the sharp- witted Len Norris illustrated a comic world on The Sun’s editorial pages: politicians in swallowtail coats; horse- faced bureaucrats who were just following orders, Ma’am; and those odd little kids, nasty little hydrant- shaped brats, lurking in the corners. Faithful readers knew that his Amblesnide and Tiddlycove settings were not fiction but rather West Vancouver. The beloved cartoonist, winner of a National Newspaper Award in 1951, died in 1997 at age 83.
