A highlight of the annual 10- day celebration of dance is certain to be the performance by San Francisco’s edgy and exhilarating Alonzo King Lines Ballet ( right). The 12- member troupe dances to Turkish and Indian music in the two works presented for the fest. Also anticipated: Five butoh companies, including legendary Yoshito Ohno dancing with Montreal’s Lucie Grégoire, and Taketeru Kudo, whose performances at the 2008 VIDF astonished — even terrifi ed — more than a few.
