Are Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger engaged?

- Miranda Furtado, Postmedia News

Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger are Mr. and Mrs. Cannes this week, wowing us nearly every day of the film festival with their red carpet style and overall adorableness. But are they soon going to be Mr. and Mrs. Jackson? The lovebirds attended the Nights in Monaco fundraiser Wednesday, where they helped Prince Albert and former president Bill Clinton raise more than $ 750,000 US for charity. Jackson nabbed a pricey Carla Amorim necklace with a winning bid of $ 45,000, reports People. But it’s not the pricey bauble, which is laced with 11.7 carats of white diamonds set in 18- karat rose gold, that’s making headlines. Jackson, 33, was reportedly overheard saying that it was an engagement present for longtime love Kruger, 35. “He said he was looking for the ‘ perfect engagement gift,’” a source told E! Online. But sources close to the pair tell People they have no plans to marry. The couple has been dating six years, but Kruger, who was previously married to French actor and director Guillaume Canet, has poo- pooed marriage talk in the past. She told Glamour magazine in 2011, “Without sounding pessimistic, I learned that I don’t believe in marriage. I believe in a commitment that you make in your heart. There’s no paper that will make you stay. A guy friend of mine said, and it made a lot of sense, that people should get married at the end of the road, not the beginning.” Last year, Jackson explained the band he wears on his ring finger, saying on Chelsea Lately that they’re “committed, but not married.”
