Bautista set to boost flagging Jays

DETROIT — Toronto outfielder Jose Bautista is on track to return to the team today. Manager John Farrell says the slugger had six at- bats Wednesday in a simulated game. Bautista hasn’t played since July 16 because of a left wrist injury. The Blue Jays lost to the Detroit Tigers 3- 2 Thursday in 11 innings, one inning after centre- fielder Austin Jackson kept the game tied with a spectacular diving catch.
