Alert: Rivers could reach two- to three- year highs
The B. C. River Forecast Centre has issued a high stream flow alert for rivers and streams of the North Shore mountains and Howe Sound. Up to five centimetres of rain are expected between Tuesday night and Wednesday evening. Floods aren’t expected, but the Stawamus, Coquitlam and Seymour Rivers could reach two- to three- year highs, according to the alert. Similar conditions are expected on smaller unmonitored waterways such as the Capilano River, Lynn Creek and other rivers and streams flowing into Howe Sound.
