INSIDE THE GAME

STAMPEDERS

Maurice Price, WR

Might be the most dangerous receiver left in the CFL playoffs. His best plays are made in traffic as he catches the ball, turns on a dime and makes defenders miss, which leads to big yardage after the catch. In the open field, nobody will catch him from behind. 2012 regular- season stats: 6 GP, 18 catches, 405 yards, 22.5yard average, 3 TDs.

Anwar Stewart, DE

“Uncle Stew,” as he’s affectionately known in the Stampeder lockerroom, has had a profound effect on the Calgary defence since joining the team in October. It’s no coincidence Calgary had 17 sacks in the four regularseason games he played. 2012 stats: 4 GP, 9 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 knockdown.

LIONS

Travis Lulay, QB

Assuming he’s healthy, Lulay is the gold standard for quarterbacks in the CFL, a guy who would easily find employment in the NFL if he decides one day to head south. Wonderful combination of poise, leadership and arm strength, and the ability to run out of trouble. 2012 stats: 16 GP, 346- for- 520, 4,231 yards, 27 TDs, 10 int.

Khalif Mitchell, DT

Take away all of the antics and drama and inappropriate tweets and you’re left with one of the most physically imposing and hard- to- handle defensive tackles in the league. Enormous lower body, but he can move extremely fast for a big man. 2012 stats: 12 GP, 15 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 knockdown.
