Ike Eisenmann: keeping busy

What ever happened to former child actor Ike Eisenmann? I had a huge crush on him when I was a little girl. Terry Choppolla Largely retired from acting now — though he still goes back in front of the cameras for the occasional project, as with the Race to ... update of his own Witch Mountain movies that Disney made several years ago — Eisenmann went into another area of show business, providing what are known as ADR ( additional dialogue recording) voices for such movies as Shrek, Meet the Parents and the Oscar- winning American Beauty. He also has produced, directed, written and edited projects, but his biggest fame seems likely to remain the period when he was doing plenty of movie and television work in the 1970s and ’ 80s, encompassing shows including Fantasy Island and Eight Is Enough and such other films as Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Cross Creek. Is the series Portrait of America, which was hosted by Hal Holbrook, available on DVD either as an entire collection or as individual episodes about each state? Mark Concannon We find no record of it being released in that format. However, it appears that years ago, episodes were issued on VHS tape ... and a number of libraries across the country evidently had copies. You might check with such facilities in your area to see if they have them.

Carol Ann Susi: Howard’s mother

We have watched The Big Bang Theory for years, and we were wondering who does the voice of Howard’s mother. You never see her in any episodes. Beth Velleri No, you don’t ... and it’s possible you never will, though the producers of the show say they might relent for the series finale, but that won’t be for some time given the big ratings the CBS sitcom is still scoring. The actress is Carol Ann Susi, and her recent onscreen credits have included the Adam Sandler- Jennifer Aniston movie Just Go With It and episodes of CSI: NY and Grey’s Anatomy.
