Porn queen role brought confidence: Seyfried
Actress plays woman who starred in 1972 sex film Deep Throat but later recanted her raunchy past
Les Miserables star Amanda Seyfried says playing porn legend Linda Lovelace in an upcoming biopic made her appreciate herself more.
Seyfried told the May issue of Allure — out next week — the X- rated role boosted her confidence.
“Maybe this is backwards, but because ( Lovelace) found the power in herself and in her body at a point, it made me feel comfortable in my own skin in a way that I hadn’t been,” Seyfried told Allure.
“I’ve got parts of me that I wish were tighter, but I don’t kill myself, because it’s not worth it.”
Lovelace starred in the pioneer 1972 sex film Deep Throat but later recanted her raunchy past and claimed she had been forced to perform the litany of sexual stunts featured in the movie. She became a born- again Christian and anti- porn crusader and was killed in a 2002 car crash.

breasts. She also addressed her naysayers who claim the actress doesn’t possess the traditional Tinseltown look — blond, blue- eyed, thin and a California tan.
“I like that. I’d rather not be ordinarylooking, I want something different about me,” she said.
“We all want to be originals.”
