Bill Hader: former SNL star

I was surprised to see Bill Hader hosting Essentials Jr. on Turner Classic Movies so soon after leaving Saturday Night Live. Did he get the job right after that? Cheryl Johnson via email He had it last summer, too. However, the opening and closing segments for TCM’s The Essentials are always filmed well in advance ... so Hader would have filmed the recent ones some time before his exit from SNL became official.
