• Under Bleak Skies by Jennifer Butler, followed by Jocelyn Morlock’s concerto for two cellos, Aeromancy, and Brett Dean’s Water Music, performed by the Rascher Quartet.

• Emerging Artists performanc­e from 7: 20 to 7: 40 p. m., featuring the UBC Contempora­ry Players.

• Alexander Pechenyuk’s Parallax, John Korsrud’s Come to the Dark Side, a revival of Peter Hannan’s fondly remembered 1991 Trinkets of Little Value, and Brett Dean’s Viola Concerto with himself as soloist.

MONDAY

Songs of Joy and Bliss • Pre- concert talk by Edward Top at 7 p. m.

• Emerging Artists performanc­e from 7: 20 to 7: 40 p. m., featuring Vivian Sham, piano; Elliot Kam, piano; Nicole Linaksita, piano.

• John Oliver’s Up Wind, the world premiere of Edward Top’s new work for the Rascher Quartet and orchestra Fugue States, and six movements from Brett Dean’s Moments of Bliss and Songs of Joy derived from his opera Bliss ( based on the novel by fellow Australian Peter Carey, which also became a hit fi lm).
