FORBIDDEN CITY LAUNCHES AT VPL

An educational program designed to teach children about Chinese architecture, history and culture will launch at the Vancouver Public Library on Oct. 18. The launch will include a festival featuring music and dance performances, workshops and arts activities. The launch is tied to The Forbidden City: Inside the Court of China’s Emperors exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery. The China Institute in America is producing the English education program and the first of two English books in the series. The program is supported by The Robert H. N. Ho Foundation.
