Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts puts visitors in world’s best supercars
Staying at an iconic Waldorf Astoria resort is a luxurious experience; combine that with driving three of the world’s best supercars and, well, that’s an ultimate experience.
Starting next week at the La Quinta resort in Palm Springs, guests will be able to do just that as Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts launches its Waldorf Astoria Driving Experiences series.
And not only will participants get to get behind the wheel and pilot a trio of supercars — a Ferrari 458 Italia Spider, a McLaren MP4- 12C and a Porsche 911 Turbo — they’ll be doing it under the guidance of a bona fide racing legend. Didier Theys has a race resume that includes campaigns in Formula One, CART and is a two- time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Belgian also holds the world record for professional victories in a Ferrari 333 SP, with 10.

Participants start out the program with an introduction and tutorial about each vehicle by Theys, and then climb behind the wheels on a prearranged and breathtaking driving tour, rotating cars and drivers along the way.
The drive routes wind through some of the United State’s most beautiful routes and historic landmarks. The Palm Springs tour includes stops along the San Bernardino National Forest and Big Bear Mountain, while in Utah, the pre- planned course visits Provo Canyon and Bridal Veil Falls.
The total drive time is approximately three hours and the cost of the experience is $ 999 per couple ( excluding accommodations).
