OTTAWA Jonathan Williams, Running back

Williams comes from the same university — East Carolina — which graduated Henry ( Gizmo) Williams, Keith Stokes and Khalif Mitchell to the CFL. Though he had multiple suspensions during his time at ECU, Williams was an all- conference honourable mention with the Pirates in 2010 and got a look from the Cincinnati Bengals after he left school. Best known as a receiving back in college, Williams ran roughshod over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last Friday with 180 rushing yards in a 42- 20 blowout win. He was working as a landscaper before the Redblacks picked him up, following an injury to feature back Chevon Walker.

B. C. Tim Brown, Returner- running back

The special teams speedster was sorely missed during past the two games, when he was on the injured list ( groin). With feature RB Andrew Harris gone for the season and Stefan Logan still unable to play, Brown gives the Lions some needed depth at running back behind rookie Keola Antolin. Antolin averaged less than three yards a carry last Saturday in his CFL debut. “I’ll be doing double duty ( returner and tailback),” Brown said. “If Key ( Antolin) needs a break, I’ll go in.” Brown said he’s not completely over his injury, but with a bye week ahead he’ll muddle through.
