Identity mix-up sees travellers detained

- Compiled by Lucas Aykroyd, Special to The Sun

Isn’t it annoying when you’re all set for a nice family vacation and then get wrongfully arrested? That’s what happened to Shridevi Pujari and her teenage son Aryan on Dec. 22 when they were about to fly from Mumbai, India to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Police thought they were related to a gangster named Ravi Pujari, and detained them for about 30 hours. After confirming there was no connection, police apologized, promised they’d be taken off the watch list, and paid for new plane tickets.
