Canada Place Celebrate the country’s 148th birthday with a parade (starting at Georgia and Broughton at 7 p.m.), live music (including Hannah Georgas) and dance performanc­es, with activity zones featuring food carts and a circus show, plus an evening fireworks show at 10:30 p.m.

Ultimate Fireworks Party A private viewing zone at Canada Place lets you take in the Canada Day fireworks show. You can also check out FlyOver Canada, a simulated aerial adventure over the country’s most stunning landscapes. Includes music from DJ Mike Circa, burgers, poutine and refreshmen­ts. Beer and wine available for purchase. 8 p.m.

Burrard Inlet Fireworks Show With barges in Dundarave and Coal Harbour, the fireworks will be visible from northwest downtown, West Van and North Van. 10:30 p.m.
