‘Vandals, Goths’ destroying local heritage sites

Re: Plaza opens up in redesign plan; Area in front of Vancouver Art Gallery would become European-style gathering place, Nov. 19

I am shocked that the City of Vancouver is planning to rip out the lawn in front of the old courthouse and replace it with concrete pavers. I am appalled that the city is planning to demolish the Centennial water fountain. To make it look more European? Who are these ‘Vandals’ and ‘Goths’ in city hall who are destroying the city’s heritage? L.D. LEE New Westminster
