House sale breaks price record

An Alberta buyer paid $3.6 million for a luxury house on Chesterman Beach, a figure the real estate company said is a record for Tofino and among the highest paid for a house listed with the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board in years. Brian Danyliw, senior vice-president of Engel & Volkers Nanaimo, said the property features a 9,600-square-foot waterfront home with six bedrooms and 6½ bathrooms on Lynn Road.
