A blend of French clones including 95, 96, 277 and 809 sourced from several sites in and out of the estate brings complexity to what is essentiall­y a friendly bottle of delicious Chardonnay. The oak is beautifull­y handled, so much so it’s hard to believe 50 per cent of the blend is barrel fermented. Expect refreshing melon and ripe, red apple flavours flecked with sweet tangerine notes and a clean refreshing finish. The winery restaurant recommends pairing it with chanterell­e mushrooms and salmon, lemon roasted chicken or Camembert cheese. Real value here.
