▶ Pelicans star Davis won’t play in Rio
Anthony Davis is expected to miss this summer’s Olympic Games because of knee and shoulder injuries that have ended his fourth NBA season early. The all-star forward — who has posted teamleading averages of 24.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 61 games for the New Orleans Pelicans — will miss the final 14 games of the NBA’s regular season. He has a torn labrum in his left shoulder and tendinosis in his left knee.
