Ciara Phillips: Cold Friends, Warm Cash
The 2014 Turner Prize nominee, Canadian-born Ciara Phillips uses printmaking to explore social concerns. Many of the artist’s exhibitions double as working print studios, bringing together artists and community groups to “make together” — the print bed usually becoming a negotiating table for debates. At Western Front, Phillips’ collaborators are children. Kids can learn to screen print posters, magazines and printed fabrics. To April 30 (print shop, for kids six to 10, open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-5:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.; free) | Western Front
