RAIN, FLOODS KILL AT LEAST 45 IN NORTHWEST PAKISTAN
Flood waters rush through a Pakistani market area as vendors and residents scramble to save their possessions on the outskirts of Peshawar on Sunday. Flash floods triggered by torrential rains killed at least 45 people in northwest Pakistan and injured another 34 people, officials said. Rains started overnight Saturday and caused flash flooding in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, said Latif ur Rehman, a Pakistani national disaster management official.
