Canada unbeaten at world curling


Scotland and Canada met for the 100th time Monday in world men’s curling championsh­ip play, this time at St. Jakobshall­e in Basel, Switzerlan­d. And as has been the case 80 per cent of the time, Canada came out on top. Kevin Koe’s Calgary foursome beat Tom Brewster’s Scottish squad 5-3 to keep its perfect record intact at the worlds. It was Canada’s 12th straight win over Scotland at worlds. Canada is 80-20 overall. Canada then demolished Japan (Yosuke Morozumi) 9-2 in the evening draw. Canada improved to 5-0
