Montreal company lauded as ‘visionary’ agency

A digital marketing agency with an operation in Montreal has been selected for the first time as one of the world’s “visionary” agencies by U.S.-based Gartner Inc., a leading informatio­n technology research and advisory company with clients in 90 countries.

Gartner produces what it calls “the Magic Quadrant,” an annual report evaluating how well digital agencies are performing and executing their visions and grouping them by category as either a challenger, leader, niche player or visionary.

Mirum, which has operations in 20 countries, has been ranked as one of Gartner’s “visionarie­s.” The Quadrant report cited its expertise in customer and user experience design, innovation leadership and speed and quality of execution.

“We are thrilled,” Dan Khabie, global and North American CEO of Mirum, said in a statement. “Being included in the Magic Quadrant report validates the work that we’re doing both here in Canada and at a global level.”

Twist Image, headed by Mitch Joel, was acquired by WPP Group in 2014 and joined Mirum in 2015. Joel was recently named to the board of Postmedia Network Canada Corp.
