Goalie McLeod will miss Rio

Canadian goalkeeper Erin McLeod has confirmed her knee injury will keep her out of this summer’s Rio Olympics. McLeod, 33,who injured her anterior cruciate ligament March 23 playing for her Swedish club team, called the news “heartbreaking.” Having already had two operations on that knee, she estimates her comeback will take one to two years.
