Cyclists are the real 1%

Re: Council sticks it to bus riders, Letters, April 25

Judy Lindsay’s letter made me think about the privileged position cyclists enjoy in the City of Vancouver. It would be more accurate to call the Vision Vancouver city government bicycle rather than green. This impression was reinforced by the photograph on your front page of new city manager, Sadhu Johnston, riding his bicycle. Highly privileged, extremely small minorities are likely to make themselves unpopular. In Vancouver, cyclists are the real one per cent.
