WAITER WHO GAVE FISH TO ALLERGIC DINER AVOIDS CHARGES
A Quebec waiter arrested in August for serving salmon tartare to an allergic customer will not face criminal charges, Quebec’s prosecution service announced Tuesday. “The Crown prosecutor in the case in Sherbrooke came to the conclusion that the person under investigation had not committed any criminal infraction,” René Verret, a spokesman for the Crown, said. An incident in May left SimonPierre Canuel in a coma for two days after the beef tartare he ordered turned out to be salmon.
