Knights Valley always seems to strike that middle ground between northern Napa Valley richness and restrained Sonoma County. There’s more red fruit and acidity than you might expect, but with just the right richness and weight. The finish is long and linear with minty, spicy, red fruit and still some youthful tannin to shed. You can drink this now with a steak, but it would be fine to cellar through 2020. Good value.
