5 REASONS TO SEE DRAKE ...

He started from the bottom — or at least on Degrassi — and now he’s here. Drake, Toronto’s very own, is teaming up with Future for the Summer Sixteen tour, which sets up shop for a pair of shows at Rogers Arena this weekend. Whether you’re a Drake diehard

1 Summer Sixteen The current 47-date Summer Sixteen tour brings Drake to town in support of the Toronto rapper’s fourth studio album, Views. It’s a co-headlining tour with Atlanta’s Future, who released his fourth studio album in 2016 as well. The two collaborated on a successful 2015 mixtape, What a Time to Be Alive. 2 The song of the summer One Dance (the “song of the summer” according to Billboard) outperformed every other hit on the Billboard Hot 100 between Memorial Day and Labour Day. The Views track also made history on Billboard’s Hot R&B-Hip-Hop Songs chart, where it’s reigned for a record 18 weeks as of this writing. 3 He’s got all the hits, boy Besides One Dance, Drake’s collaboration with DJ Khaled called For Free and other cuts from Views like Controlla and his Rihanna collaboration Too Good have been radio mainstays. Lest you forget this fact, an audio loop proclaims “I got all the hits, boy” throughout the concert. 4 Wheelchair Jimmy The former Degrassi: The Next Generation actor is rewarding the faithful with a medley of early tracks, like The Motto (2011) and Started From the Bottom (2013).

He needs the cash It’s not cheap (we’re guessing) to open up a strip club. But that’s what Drake is intending to do. The club, called The Ballet, will be located in Houston and open in early 2017. According to one recent report, Drake promises that, unlike traditional strip clubs, his will respect the art of his dancers by putting them “on a pedestal” in “unforgettable” surroundings.
