Lunar New Year is a time to wish for a lucky, prosperous year ahead. A winning ticket in the 2017 BC Children’s Hospital Choices Lottery would make that wish come true.

One lucky winner will choose from six grand-prize home packages worth millions or $2.2 million tax-free cash. With thousands of additional prizes, the Choices Lottery supports research into the prevention, treatment and cure of childhood illnesses.

Count your lucky stars if you win the Morgan Creek home, a European Tudor– style lakeside residence. The four-bedroom, five-bathroom home is part of a package worth over $2.7 million.

At over 5,000 square feet, the home, by RS Coastal Design + Build, sits on a 10,000-square-foot lot on Morgan Lake. The covered 470-square-foot deck with built-in barbecue is the ideal spot to gather for dinner outdoors.

Natural light floods the chef’s kitchen, which boasts a separate wok kitchen and butler pantry with two-zone wine fridge. The great room has double-height ceilings, a floor-to-ceiling marble tile fireplace and Swarovski-crystal chandelier. Three upstairs bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, the master bath featuring a sumptuous “egg” soaker tub.

The interior was designed by Debbie Heal of Sunrae Design. “When I walked in the house and looked out off the patio, that wide lake view just got me,” says Heal, who selected the furnishings from La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries. “I knew I wanted to go for nature and have the design elements all tie back to it.”

Every year, BC Children’s Hospital provides expert care to 86,000 kids, more than 9,000 of whom need surgery due to potentially life-threatening illness and injury.

Choices Lottery tickets cost three for $100, six for $175, nine for $250 and 20 for $500.
