Parents must benefit from taxes

-

Re: Union wants $300-million budget boost for schools All parents deserve to benefit from their tax dollars, and the BCTF’s incessant demonizing of alternatives to public education is the epitome of prejudice and greed. Maybe we should start calling public education what it really is — BCTF education.

If it was really public, it would be parents that controlled where their money went. A money-follows-the- child system is the only way to ensure that parents, not unions or any other group, control their children’s education and that all parents benefit from their tax dollars, not just those that the BCTF deems worthy.
