Four people charged in drug investigation
A 14-month investigation by the RCMP’s North District Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit has led to drug charges being laid against four people in three different B.C. communities. On June 11, 2016, RCMP executed a warrant in Richmond and seized approximately one kilogram of cocaine, two vehicles and cash. The raid was the result an investigation into drug trafficking in Prince George and Chilliwack that began in April 2015. The warrants carried out by Mounties in Chilliwack seized approximately one kilogram of cocaine, a large amount of cash and a vehicle, and in Prince George, they recovered a cache of firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition, body armour, a cocaine press and cash. Nearly a year later, four people have now been charged. Ravneet Singh Basi, 44, of Kamloops, Fabian Fraser Cuthbert, 45, of Prince George, Katherine Pearl Cuthbert, 73, of Prince George and Tijinder Singh Sidhu, 46, of Richmond all face multiple drug trafficking charges.
