Jasmine at The Gardens takes a stellar South Richmond location

Townhome residents will be close to shops and transit and be but a bike ride from Steveston

- BY ROBIN BRUNET

South Richmond has always been valued as one of the few regions in Metro Vancouver where people can live amid vast acres of natural parkland, and Jasmine at The Gardens combines this freedom with the benefits of a walkable, master-planned urban village.

Jasmine consists of a boutique collection of 23 luxury, air-conditioned, parkside twoto three-bedroom townhomes designed to suit a variety of living needs. As with the existing low- and mid-rise residential buildings at The Gardens, Jasmine was developed by Townline to provide easy access not only to a neighbouring 12-acre natural park and West Dyke Trail, but also the shops at nearby Ironwood Plaza and Coppersmith mall, as well as the new Loblaws City Market and the historic fishing village of Steveston, a pleasant bike ride away to the west.

Jasmine at The Gardens’ location is also ideal for those who work in the city. Downtown Richmond is a short drive along No. 5 Road, and Vancouver is 25 minutes away, due to the proximity of Highway 99. For those who prefer catching up on their emails or shows on their way to and from work, transit extends to The Gardens.

The Gardens is tucked away from the noisy Vancouver International Airport flight paths, and because it’s located beside an agricultural land reserve, Jasmine residents can enjoy their surroundings with the assurance that future development is off limits. Chris Colbeck, Townline’s vice-president of sales and marketing, says: “While the residences of the other buildings at The Gardens are near the park, the Jasmine townhomes sit right on it, so there’s a constant sense of living in a natural setting.”

The quality of the townhomes themselves is equally impressive. Large windows and expansive ground-floor patios provide unobstructed panoramic views of the 12-acre natural park for some homes. The main levels boast over-height ceilings that start at nine feet; the ensuites are spa-like, complete with heated floors and full-height, large porcelain tiles on all walls and floors; and the kitchens are chef-inspired and include a Bosch and Blomberg professional-grade appliance package. “Residents have a choice of three West Coast colour palettes, and some of the townhomes even have rooftop decks with fantastic views of the 12-acre natural park and the North Shore Mountains,” says Colbeck.

Completing the experience is access to The Gardens Club, a 6,000-square-foot amenity complex with a state-of-the art fitness centre and sports court. “One of the great things about The Gardens is there’s a lot to enjoy within the community,” says Colbeck.

Unsurprisingly, Jasmine at The Gardens is attracting everyone from first-time homebuyers to downsizers and empty nesters, and the interest is expected to escalate further with sales starting in July.

Colbeck says: “Given the volume of inquiries we’re receiving, I would urge interested parties to register now at www.townline.ca.”
