LIGHT UP THE CHOIRS

Light Up the Choirs is a series of five ben­e­fit con­certs, each one loaded up with choral en­sem­bles, in sup­port of the Cana­dian Red Cross B.C. Fires Ap­peal. From Fri­day through Sun­day, choir com­mu­ni­ties in Metro Van­cou­ver will be gath­er­ing to of­fer their mu­sic and en­cour­age­ment to those af­fected by B.C.’s record­break­ing wild­fire sea­son. The first of the five con­certs, tak­ing place Fri­day in Van­cou­ver, will be held at Magee Sec­ondary School and fea­ture the Magee Sec­ondary School Choir, EnChor se­niors’ choir, Sol­i­dar­ity Notes Labour Choir and Sound Eclec­tic Vo­cal En­sem­ble, all per­form­ing three or four songs each. Satur­day and Sun­day will see ben­e­fit con­certs in Co­quit­lam, North Van­cou­ver, Rich­mond and Langley. Ad­mis­sion to these char­ity events will be, fit­tingly, by do­na­tion.
