LIGHT UP THE CHOIRS

Light Up the Choirs is a series of five benefit concerts, each one loaded up with choral ensembles, in support of the Canadian Red Cross B.C. Fires Appeal. From Friday through Sunday, choir communities in Metro Vancouver will be gathering to offer their music and encouragement to those affected by B.C.’s recordbreaking wildfire season. The first of the five concerts, taking place Friday in Vancouver, will be held at Magee Secondary School and feature the Magee Secondary School Choir, EnChor seniors’ choir, Solidarity Notes Labour Choir and Sound Eclectic Vocal Ensemble, all performing three or four songs each. Saturday and Sunday will see benefit concerts in Coquitlam, North Vancouver, Richmond and Langley. Admission to these charity events will be, fittingly, by donation.
