One dead, three hurt in Coquihalla crash

One person is dead and three others were taken to hospital following an accident Saturday south of Merritt on Highway 5. Around 11:20 a.m., Merritt RCMP were called to a car crash in which a broken-down Ford SUV was struck by a tractor trailer. A 29-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene. A 28-year-old man was rushed to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops by air ambulance. Two other men, aged 31 and 37, were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
