Landslides have forced closure of two trails in Pacific Spirit park
A landslide closed a trail in Pacific Spirit Regional Park on Wednesday. According to the Metro Vancouver authority, a landslide forced the closure of Trail 7 on Wednesday afternoon, causing the slope above the trail to become unstable.
“A geotechnical assessment is underway,” read a brief update shared on Twitter by Metro Vancouver.
“For your safety, do not use Trail 7 at this time.”
There is no estimated time for reopening.
Two days earlier, a portion of Admiralty Trail between East Canyon Trail and Centre Canyon was also closed due to a landslide. An assessment for that area is also underway.
