MY FUNNY VALENTINE
Written by Dave Deveau and directed by Cameron Mackenzie, this play looks at how one small action in a community can have a ripple effect. In this case, the work was taken from the 2008 headline story of the shooting death of 15-year-old California student Lawrence King. Starring Anton Lipovetsky playing a number of different roles, the play tries to tell the story of the impact of this event on a host of characters making up a small and tightly-knit community. The play won the Sydney Risk Prize for Outstanding Original Play by an Emerging Playwright, and was nominated for three Jessie Awards.
