Prada ‘cafe’ pops up at Holt Renfrew
The Skybridge at Holt Renfrew in Vancouver is getting a stylish new spin, thanks to Italian luxury brand Prada.
The pedestrian overpass, which connects the luxury retailer with the Pacific Centre, will host a Prada Spirit Pop-Up shop that opens today and runs until Feb. 19.
The space, which routinely features limited-time collection launches and seasonal themes, will be transformed into an “alternative shopping experience” — complete with an installation inspired by a traditional Italian cafe.
In an artist’s rendering of the planned pop-up, tall stools are nestled into an eye-catching counter space reminiscent of a vintage diner. But, rather than serving cappuccinos and treats, the blackand-white tiled shopping area will be home to Prada’s handbags and other assorted leather goods.
Safe to say, it’s a pop-up shop we can expect to see popping up on social media feeds very soon.
In other Holt Renfrew Vancouver news, the store debuted a new Bulgari jewelry boutique last week. Designed by Peter Marino, the 450-square-foot space represents an expanded offering in the city for the Italian fine jewelry brand.
“This milestone marks a special moment for Bulgari, as it brings our maison’s Roman roots and spirit of innovation to Vancouver, a very important city for the brand,” said Daniel Paltridge, president of Bulgari North America. “We are pleased to open our boutique in Holt Renfrew in a manner that represents the contemporary Bulgari brand while simultaneously paying tribute to our rich, Roman heritage.”
A Dior boutique is also expected to open to shoppers this week as part of the store’s ongoing renovation and expansion plan.
