Woman and grand­kids hit by car in Ab­bots­ford

A woman and her five-year-old grand­son re­main in hos­pi­tal af­ter be­ing struck by a car in Ab­bots­ford Mon­day morn­ing. Ab­bots­ford RCMP say the woman, in her 60s, and her two grand­sons, ages two and five, were hit by a Toy­ota Yaris on Ridgeview Drive, east of the in­ter­sec­tion with Town­line Road, at around 8:15 a.m. Po­lice say the five-year-old boy suf­fered a bro­ken fe­mur and re­mains in hos­pi­tal un­der ob­ser­va­tion. The woman, whose in­juries have not been re­leased, is also still hos­pi­tal in sta­ble but se­ri­ous con­di­tion. The two-year-old boy was treated for mi­nor in­juries and re­leased. No names have been re­leased. Po­lice say the driver of the Toy­ota re­mained on scene and is co­op­er­at­ing with in­ves­ti­ga­tors.
