GREEK OUZO MARI­NADE

Makes: about 3/4 cup (180 mL)

1/4 cup (60 mL) ouzo

1/4 cup (60 mL) fresh lemon juice

1/4 cup (60 mL) olive oil

2 tbsp (30 mL) finely chopped onion

1 tsp (5 mL) dill weed

1 tsp (5 mL) fen­nel seeds, crushed

1 tsp (5 mL) grated lemon peel

1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt

1/4 tsp (1 mL) freshly ground pep­per

1 clove gar­lic, crushed

1. Com­bine all in­gre­di­ents. Use to mar­i­nate chicken. Al­low chicken to mar­i­nate for up to 24 hours in re­frig­er­a­tor. Dis­card mari­nade af­ter us­ing.
