HERON CAM IS BACK IN STANLEY PARK
For the 18th consecutive year, the colony of Pacific great blue herons that calls the trees next to the Park Board office’s parking lot home has returned. And for the fourth year running, the HD heron cam is up and running and streaming video 24-7 of these gorgeous birds doing interesting things. Fun to watch and educational, it’s a much better way to take in the birds without bothering them. Last time I walked by, it was the pack of coyotes hanging around waiting for babies or eggs to fall from nests that was getting most of the photos taken. Guess a coyote cam wouldn’t be a big hit?
