The summer of 2015 was one of the driest in the Douro, with the lowest temperatures ever recorded, allowing the plants to survive and grow despite low water levels. The result is exceptional quality fruit, rich in aromas with a beautiful colour. Meãndro Red is a 40/35/16/5/2/2 mix of Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Alicante Bouschet, and Tinta Amarela. The nose has bright floral red fruit aromas and a strong mineral note. The fruit is dark with rich but supple, with pure blueberry/ blackberry flavours. Bright and balanced,impressive for the price.
