Ultimate undergarments
If you’re updating your lingerie drawer, these three bras deserve consideration
If your bra selection is looking a little stale this spring, it’s likely time you updated with a few new undergarments.
Rather than search endlessly through the racks of bra brands and styles on offer, why not take a more directed (and dare we say educated) approach to brassiere buying with a look at these new styles first?
We picked three of our favourite new releases, each of which fulfils a potential void in your lingerie line. From an active-appropriate sports bra to a wear-everywhere strapless (yes, a strapless iteration that you won’t want to take off after five minutes), here are three bra styles to pick up this season:
THE SMOOTH OPERATOR
A smooth T-shirt bra is a go-to for day-to-day ensembles, especially when it comes time for the lighter-weight layers of spring and summer. Canadian company La Vie en Rose has a Lightly Lined Spacer Foam Bra that features lightweight foam for a seamless finish, as well as increased comfort and breathability. The unique fabric features small air pockets to allow a soft breeze to blow through your brassiere. Available in grey, pink, blue and black.

THE SPORTS STAR
The latest addition to the Canadian brand’s collection, the Knix Racerback Evolution Bra features wide straps for increased comfort while wearing (no back bulge with this baby!) and zero hardware such as clasps, zips or hooks to get caught up in. The stretchy fabric boasts a four-way stretch and is moisture-wicking so you feel free, as well as relatively sweat free (you will be working out in it, after all) while you’re getting your heart rate up. Available in black, white, grey and desert sand.

THE STRAPLESS WONDER
A strapless bra is an essential lingerie drawer addition — in theory. Actually finding a version that’s both comfortable and supportive can seem like an impossible task. Meet the Wear It Your Way multiway convertible bra, which features at least 49 inner hooks (depending on the cup and band size) to attach the straps to. The style is designed to be worn eight ways to perfectly accommodate all the fancy straps and necklines of the sunnier season, and the unlined cups keep the bra from appearing bulky under slinkier fabrics. Available in black and nude.
