Sade to release a new album

-

Sade member Stuart Matthewman says the band is set to release a new album after a seven-year hiatus. The songwriter says he and lead singer Sade Adu have “a bunch of songs” in the works. They hit the road for a comeback tour in 2012 but have yet to release a new album since Soldier of Love in 2010. “We’re working on a new album ... She’s not interested in the fame or any of that stuff,” he told Rated R&B magazine. “She likes to put out art. So when it’s ready, it will come out.” He said: “The record company knows there’s no point in nagging us or giving us deadlines. It doesn’t really help the process.” Sade’s first new track since the record was Flower of the Universe for the A Wrinkle in Time soundtrack in March.
