CANADA’ S IN-TERMINAL HOTELS

In addition to Vancouver International Airport’s Fairmont, there are a number of in-terminal hotels across the country. Here’s a look at a handful, from east to west.

HALIFAX ALT

This Le Germain property is connected to Stanfield International Airport via an enclosed pedestrian walkway. In keeping with the ‘Alt’ brand, the hotel’s decor is heavy on hip art and bright colours, and the lobby lounge is open 24 hours.

MONTREAL AIRPORT MARRIOTT

Located within Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport, this Marriott offers rooms and suites, with deluxe pillow-top bedding. Bijou Resto I Bar offers a laid-back environment and casual dining and the hotel’s on-site spa provides a range of treatments. And the hotel is just a short distance away from shopping and dining in Montreal’s West Island.

TORONTO SHERATON G AT E WAY

With direct indoor access from Terminal 3 Sheraton Gateway Hotel is the only hotel located in Pearson International Airport. The lobby features a flight check-in kiosks, and a 24-hour fitness centre and indoor pool.

CALGARY AIRPORT MARRIOTT

Situated between the international and domestic terminals inside Calgary International Airport, this Marriott’s rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city, airport runways and, in the distance, the Rocky Mountains. The hotel is dogfriendly and has a pool and fitness centre.

DELTA HOTELS CALGARY

Also located inside Calgary International Airport, this Delta property features rooms and suites with free Wi-Fi, plush bedding, a mini-fridge and a work desk. Breakfast is served at Compass Restaurant, and for dinner and drinks there’s North 51 Steakhouse.
