Year’s first victim of homicide ID’d

Police are investigating Vancouver’s first homicide of 2019 after a man was killed Tuesday. Just after 8 p.m., police were called to an apartment on Powell Street in the Downtown Eastside. Investigators have identified the victim as Matthew Dillen Johnson, 39, of Vancouver. No arrests have been made.
