Kim Petras kicks off her Clarity Tour in Vancouver. The tour is named after her debut full-length album, released earlier this year (and called “decadent and deeply silly” in a 7.2 review on Pitchfork). But her latest is Turn Off the Light, a sequel of sorts to an EP she released last year. The album includes the tracks from the EP plus new songs, all with a Halloween theme (sample song titles: There Will be Blood, Death by Sex, and the title track, which features Elvira, Mistress of the Dark). Originally from Cologne, Germany, the 27-year-old pop singer began recording music as a teenager. She has collaborated with a number of artists, including Charli XCX and Sophie.
