Dec. 5, 1923 - May 5, 2020 Lucy passed away peacefully May 5, 2020. She was born December 5, 1923 and had a long, happy, and fulfilling life. She was predecease­d in 2009 by her loving husband Nick. Lucy was born in Indian Head, Saskatchew­an of immigrant parents. After early years on the farm the family moved to Regina for work during the Depression. At the outbreak of World War II Lucy followed her sister to Vancouver which is where the work was. She began work with BC Packers where she soon met the love of her life, Nick. They married in 1946 and stayed that way for 63 years. Lucy is survived by their four children Virginia, Nick (Linda), Joe, and Perry (Louise). Lucy worked for many years at the coin and stamp counters at Woodward's and Eaton's. She then retired to travel extensivel­y with Nick and enjoy time with her family including grandchild­ren Nickie, Michelle, Amber, Kevin, Mark and Andrew and great-grandchild­ren Anthony, Santino, Stefano, Matteo, Ethan and Alex. Lucy had a sunny and social dispositio­n and loved to entertain, especially feeding family and friends with East European and Italian food. Her baking, especially around Christmas, was unparallel­ed. A special thanks to the exemplary staff at Sunrise Senior Living-vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Union Gospel Mission (ugm.ca). Private interment.
