LANE, Roberta Wilna

After 94+ wonderful years of life, Roberta Wilna Lane (Delaney) passed away peacefully in Vernon, BC, on April 17, 2020. Born in Kensington, PEI on December 5, 1925, Wilna married Hollis Lane in 1947. The couple moved throughout Atlantic, Central and Western Canada before settling in Vancouver, BC, in 1967.

Wilna was a wonderful mother and wife, and an outstandin­g role model. She loved gardening, was an avid golfer, an accomplish­ed bridge player, an active member of the Kerrisdale Presbyteri­an Church and a stalwart member of the volunteer community well into her 80s. She spent countless hours in support of many charities including the Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, March of Dimes, Meals on Wheels, Royal Commonweal­th Society, UBC Cancer Clinic, and the United Way/appeal.

Predecease­d by her husband Hollis and son-in-law Ernie, left to mourn are her daughters Linda (Ian), Karyn and Carla (Edmond), her son Bob (Wendy) and their families, including 12 grandchild­ren and 13 great-grandchild­ren, many nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Ever Remembered, Ever Loved.

A memorial service is planned for the summer at the Kerrisdale Presbyteri­an Church in Vancouver, B.C. at a date and time to be announced.
